NEW KIDS!!!
GUESS WHO KIDDED?....
A couple days ago, on February 18, I went outside in the early morning to do chores and noticed that Minty had bagged up all of the sudden. Also, her belly had dropped and she was sunken in by the base of her tail, a sure sign of kidding. I watched her all day during school, and all day Minty stood by the shed in the pasture(it is blocked off because we had the stanchion in there) by herself.
Around 4:15(our evening chore-time) Mom advised that I should put Minty into her stall. I did, and immediately she pawed, then laid down, despite the fact that there was hay in the stall. She normally would have started eating, so I knew that she was in labor. Mom and I did chores, and meanwhile Dock secured the shed in the pasture, making it kid proof.
I went inside and changed into snow-clothes, then ran outside. By this time Minty had started to push, and Mom went inside to change into snow clothes also. I waited, and soon Mom was outside.
Minty was really pushing by now, and we could see what I dubbed when Ginger was kidding her first kids "the glass ball". "The glass ball" was really the kid starting to come out in its sack. Soon the first kid slid out. The first kid to be born is a buckling. He has the same markings as Frosty, but brown eyebrows like Sweetheart, and where Frosty had the black on his back, he has brown! More brown than Sweetheart! Also one of his ears is floppy. I don't know why, but it should straighten up soon. I named him Blizzard, because he is quite fluffy. Blizzard is a big kid!

Today, when he is dry and fluffy. I have no idea why his ear is flopping but it's cute! (HE'S NOT NUBIAN. WE HATE NUBIANS-although I think Nubian kids are kinda cute. NOT LIKE ALPINES/OBERHASLIS THOUGH!!!!)
Minty licked Blizzard for awhile, then another glass ball! The second kid is another buckling. This little guy (well, I shouldn't say little), is even bigger than Blizzard, and Blizzard is big! He has a new color marking!! He is brown like a chamoisee, but instead of having black points, he has white points like a Toggenburg! He has white points except for his back dorsal stripe. It is black! He also has white around the base of his tail. One website said that that color is a sable, but I'm not sure. He is also extremely vigorous, so much so that the moment he had been kidded out, I had barely dried his nostrils and was working on his body when he started head butting Minty! Minty was laying down, but her teat was sticking up, and I stuck it in the buckling's mouth! He instantly started sucking! None of our kids have done that yet! I named him Toffee, because he is the color of Toffee.

If anyone knows his color- comment below!
Minty licked the two kids for some time, then Mom went up inside her, to see what was holding her up. Mom felt the back legs of a kid, and new that it was a breech. She pulled, Minty pushed, the third kid slid out, and I swung her upside down to make sure that she didn't have fluid in her lungs. The last one is a doeling! She is one of my favorite colors. She is a two-tone chamoisee! She has black points, the front half of her is white, and the second half is brown! Wheee! She also has brown swirled on her white ears. She is very large also, as big as Sweetheart! I named her Kit Kat.

The kids are happy and healthy, and I am training them to bottle feed, as Minty rejected them (we knew that she would do that, because she did it with Starburst, Twix, M&M, and Snickers). Sugar is a horrible mom too- Like mother like daughter! They are quick to learn, and are already following me around.
