2018 kidding season officially over!!!
Minty is growing a nanny beard- yeah!!!!! Minty is so regal and majestic with her horns.
She is a little over a month past kidding and is in full milk production giving us 1.75- 2 gallons a day. She is our star milker this year at her 2nd Freshener. Her milk is also delicious and we drink milk from her or Sugar. Minty tested negative for Brucellosis, Tuberculosis, and Q-fever. We were so happy about that!!
Sugar is producing 1.5 gallons a day, but this little Ober has the sweetest milk and her milk is the one we capture every day to drink. Sugar is in her 3rd Freshener. Sugar tested negative for Brucellosis, Tuberculosis and Q-fever as well.
Ginger is producing 1.5 gallons a day, this is her 4th freshener. Ginger has delicious milk as well. Ginger is so majestic.
Daisy is producing 1.75 gallons a day at her 4th freshener. The notch in her ear is from our dog, he caught her through the fence. He got in trouble for that one!!
Cupcake kidded triplets on March 7th. This is her first year!! All bucklings. She is just now coming into her milk. She has nice easy teats to milk. We are very happy with her udder. Below are her 3 kids.

Puddins also kidded on the 7th of March. She had twin doelings. She is just now coming into her milk and is doing just as well as her twin sister Cupcake. We are very happy with their udders and teats. Puddins kidded behind our backs right after we checked her!! We came back 15 minutes later and had the first one out and was just looking at it, not knowing what to do. We instantly popped the amniotic sac and started wiping it down with towels. Puddins then started helping- she figured it out.
