This will be a long post, with images of butchered chickens, so that is the warning I (KryssaLee) am giving you dear readers.
First, the goats. They demanded a new toy. Daisy said "Cupcake, you must be the one to tell KryssaLee."
"What? Oh all right, KryssaLee!"
I heard, and put in an upside down water tank.
Morning Glory was the first goat on
Then, a tire with a steel rod in the middle to keep it in place. Inspecting it with Bunny in the backround jumping on it
Next, another tire rolled in
On the top it went! Nice form, Rose Petal!
Face off!
Last of all, I rolled in a pallet.
Rose Petal jumping on it before it was put up
Amazing, Rose Petal!
Morning Glory
The completed toy, with Rose Petal fighting Puddins
We butchered chickens yesterday.
Them bleeding out.
The plucker. We borrowed all of this equipment from a friend. These things are worth the money! It went slick. Sadly, I didn't get pictures of the plucked chickens. Or maybe it isn't sad. Some of you may have weak stomachs...
The scalder
The chicken in the restraining cone, bleeding out
We butchered about 40 chickens in two hours! It went really fast with the plucker, scalder, ect.
I'm sorry if I didn't mention it before, but the goats were moved from the pasture with the root cellar back into their old pasture, because they were being naughty. Puddins 'dusting' in the dust pit
Silly Daisy
Minty posing perfectly
We took Frosty on a 3 mile walk down the road, and he loved it! He behaved perfectly. He was a little scared of cars at first, but he soon got used to them.
Frosty and I posing by a rock cliff on the side of the road.
When I named him Frosty, I thought he was a cou blanc. But I found out recently that he is a FROSTED cou blanc! Neat coincidence!
