In our goat kid barn, we had heat lamps tied along a wire panel so the kids could get underneath and sleep. Well, somehow, they lipped the string loose and the heat lamp fell on the ground. Thank goodness we only use shavings, as straw would of caught on fire. However, the doelings nestled up against the bulb and singed all the hair off their backs and sides. Luckily, we went out at 6:30 am to feed and they hadn't burned to the skin. So no injuries, but they smell like burnt hair and they have ugly singe spots on them.
It was only Rose Petal and Morning Glory who had it happen to them.

This is Mother Cat. She was rescued by us in 2011. She was a pregnant barn cat. She is crippled on her front paw; she was that way when we took her in. We tamed her down and spayed her after she had her kittens (we kept all the kittens). Now she sleeps most and hangs out in her bed. She is still a good hunter though.
